Set Badgers was born as a project of two close friends who wanted to use their creative side beyond their daily jobs.
Tamer Özsevim is the chairman of a an International e-commerce company and a guitarist. His educational guitar video on YouTube was watched millions of times even before smartphones took over our lives. The methods that brought him success in business are the secret behind the wonders he creates at the set up.
Emincan Akbulut is a partner at a respected law firm. Before his successful career as a lawyer, he trained piano for many years. His childhood, blended with classical music, made him intolerant to bad music at the set up. On the dance floor, however, it is almost impossible to resist the nostalgic tunes he cannot give up during sets.
Their successful business careers and lifelong interest in music add unique flavors to every set.
This partnership, which took shape in 2023, officially gave birth to Set Badgers. The “Honey Badger” in our name represents patient and systematic work. This matches the hours we spend planning playlists before shows. But it should also be remembered that honey badgers even dare to challenge lions. Likewise, Set Badgers never hesitate to take risks or experiment with different sounds on stage; this fearlessness is the foundation of their originality.
Style and approach
Our music revolves around indie dance, tech house, nu-disco and classic house. We follow a single simple rule: the right music, the right place, the right time, the right crowd.
